I've decided that I will not work any more than I do now. And I'm already doing work for several people. If they still think they will achieve something by intimidating people that they have to do an unrealistic amount of work in order not to be riffed, they are wrong.
What can a culture of fear bring to them other than losing the best people and demoralizing those who remain?
