My experience is that large portion of people commenting on this site are paid or somehow benefiting from the negative posts they write. It is pretty obvious by that they're not associated with Ford by the lack of or incorrect terms they use. Additionally they tend to post from external websites for information.

Another indication is the number of recurring topics like these:

Why do the good managers leave Ford
Do LL6,5,4....work? What does a LL6,5,4.... make? How many hours does an LL6,5,4....work?
Do interns do anything? (it is obvious they don't know the term in Ford)
Why do contract people do all the work and Ford employees do nothing?

There are more but this is just a sample.

I think I like the irrational and emotional response best. These are ones where they make some sort of statement that you don't understand what they are going through or experienced. All of there examples are very generic and can be applied to any company.

If you have worked for this company for any period of time it is pretty easy to figure out those who haven't.

Hopefully I get a lot of negative responses. So far 9 is my personal best.

Union leadership will fall in line as long as there is something in it for them to look good ( more programs of some sort ). No doubt those details have been worked out already.

Rank and file may be a different story.

With the pounding the Ds took in Virginia yesterday there might be some push back from Dingell /Stabenow/Whitmer but that’s a slim chance.

This blows a huge ho-e in their legal argument of protecring everyone from covid aside from the vaccines dont protect you from cr-p and there are no fda approved vaccines available.

Following up on my previous post (1khf+1dCjFaTA) If Ford was going to mandate vaccinations because they were Federal Contractors, they could have announced this requirement at the end of September when the mandate was issued by the White House, so I agree that it was a bit disingenuous.

Actually they did provide context, saying that reporting vaccination status was the first step in preparing to comply with the federal vaccination plan mandate.

@1csp+1dCjFaTA I don’t think most people would assume that just because you sell vehicles to the government that automatically equates you to be a government contractor.

Yes, it was deceptive when they asked for vaccination status and didn’t provide any further context behind the request. At that time we were told there was no vaccine mandate and although it was encouraged for us to get the vaccine, there was no mandate or no mention of a mandate coming.

Deceptive. But let’s “do the right thing”

They will say you ultimately chose of your own free will. Expect an offer to attend a re-education and counseling session as a last chance before you’re actually terminated.

A week or so ago they had a Brady Bunch panel with all under 30s and announced they were taking referrals for new hires.

Serious Question: If I have major side effects from the vaccine and am hospitalized, who is going to take care of my affairs? Will Ford be liable since they are coercing me to maintain my livelihood? So as opposed to incentive to get vaccinated, they are threatening to take away something I worked my whole life to attain. Not even a mention of how the company will take care of the employees. They can shove it up you know where.

  1. The vaccine included a micro chip powered by human body heat and micro Li-Ion batteries designed and developed in-house at Ford EPE
  1. The micro chips also have an embedded OTA modem, and sensors built in, which monitors and transmits real time COVID-19 virus count and Antibodies count to Super computers at Ford WHQ, of all Ford employees who enters Fordland tracked via Geo-fencing technology
  1. The in-house Data Scientists analyze this real time data, utilizing an in-house developed and patented algorithm, and determine the Immunity Level available at Fordland at any given time
  1. Other OEMs have expressed interest in licensing this advanced technology from Ford.
  1. Export of this tech is expected to bring EBIT and Operating Margin to our target levels

I'm surprised and maybe thankful those of us that are considered to be fully vaccinated as of April this year are still considered so. I understand vaccine efficacy can be reduced by as much as 60% after 6 months. Are we going to be required to get a booster shot or shots to keep collective protection levels high? How will we know what the collective protection level is in the office on a particular day, since it will fluctuate? Will we be notified and perhaps get the option to stay home if the protection level is expected to be low or below some threshold on a given day? What happens if there are outbreaks among the fully vaccinated? There surely will be. Are you feeling lucky?

This are serious question as I personally know several individuals that have contracted Covid, yet are fully vaccinated. Some of whom are quite sick I might add. Rather troubling indeed. I appreciate Ford's adherence to the mandate for the good of us all personally, our families, and our communities, but the science and data being touted seems to be flawed, or misleading at the very least. Or we're still missing the rest of the story? We can do better. We need a strategy that actually works please!

December 8 is the Biden deadline. Ford didn’t just make that date up. You would have to get Johnson & Johnson or Pfizer (first dose tomorrow) to comply. The last (or only dose of J&J) would need to be received by November 24 to be fully vaccinated by December 8.

The federal contractor card gets a company off the "testing in lieu of" hook. They should have been up front about it from the start. Makes it look like nothing but a back door cost cutting measure now.

Time will tell how things play out after December 8. Let's see how long it takes for GM to follow suit and what the UAW does. Hard to get a feel based on the aircraft/airline industries. Take a look at the Boeing page on The Layoff sometime....

Good on Ford to make compliance to the mandate required by Dec 8. This gives ample time to fire the non-conformists before the holidays and thus book the headcount reductions for 2021 calendar year. Kerstink is smarter than I thought.

Only 15 %? Which 15% - the dregs on getting work done, or the very best (such as those with advanced degrees that studies have shown will be last to get the shots, if at all)? That is thee Ed question.

Sorry, but based on reactions on this board and even internally to some of the content posted around this topic in articles or at town halls, I find the 15% number to be - how shall I put this - a bit on the low side.

So go have fun with this, all the companies such as Ford m, signing up for this and for the likely sicker employee base (as that is what the clot shot does to people). I’ll go ahead and take my chances for what they bring on, take the serverance and move on if it comes to that point. For all those that got the shot, I am saying prayers for you to have as much time left as you can and hoping you avoid any issues for as long as possible. Peace to all, and God Bless. Seems to me Ford has adopted the attitude of “may we live in interesting times”

P.S. - the Chinese saying “may you live in interesting times” was not a good luck saying, it was a curse. Keep that in mind….

They haven't said what will happen after December 8, claiming they are a federal contractor. Assembly and Credit will be notified later. Affects 15% , nice target headcount reduction.
