From the OSHA PDF:

Workplaces not covered by the ETS. This
standard does not apply to workplaces covered
under the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force
COVID-19 Workplace Safety: Guidance for
Federal Contractors and Subcontractors or in
settings where employees provide healthcare
services or healthcare support services when
subject to the requirements of the Healthcare

Ford has said they are federal contractors and it appears there is no option for weekly testing in that case, only for large employers that aren't federal contractors.

Note the wording in the post below is either set up mandatory vaccination policy OR a policy that allows weekly testing. But the next part says if vaccinations are required, you can't be fired for refusing to be vaccinated. May just be the source (says MLive), conflicting info on other ones.

Seems like if you work remote, it won’t apply to you. Also there is option for weekly testing.

Apparently no testing option for federal contractors....

From MLive :

Employers must either develop a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy or a policy allowing employees to elect either to get vaccinated or to undergo weekly COVID-19 testing and wear a face covering at the workplace.

If an employer requires vaccination in their workplace, they cannot fire an employee who refuses to be vaccinated and agrees to be tested weekly while providing documentation and wearing a mask. OSHA does not prevent employers from taking disciplinary action against employees who do not comply. Employers are advised to consult applicable law and/or labor management contracts.

The new policy released today has a clause that unvaccinated employees have to be tested once a week and wear masks. Employers don't need to pay for the testing.

Get a load of this genius. He thinks it’s common sense to allow big pharma and the government to inject a hastily tested, highly politicized treatment for an illness with an over 99 percent survival rate into your body. I wonder if he’s curious about the long term health effects? Probably not, since he/she has so much common sense.

So, let’s put our trust in big pharma and the government. I mean, when have they ever done anything to make us distrust them? It’s all for our benefit, everyone knows that!

I mean, yeah the vaccine doesn’t stop you from getting, spreading or even dying from it, and we’ll need a booster every 3-6 months just to maintain that “protection.” But hey, I’m sure they will mandate it again and us common sense folks can righteously point our fingers at these silly people and say “Fool! Don’t you know it’s common sense to hand over the authority and responsibility for your medical decisions to big pharma, the government and your employer! It’s for your own good! Now, good luck getting a job and feeding your family or paying your rent! Hope you find a nice box to live in with your family!”

At least we’ll be protected, right.

"I’m curious if Ford will rescind the present policy if the executive order is successfully challenged in the courts. "

Not a chance. The company has gone full woke. Being woke means cannot go back on the wokeness.

Guys, do NOT forget Ford is INCLUSIVE!

We have been forced to attend inclusion meetings and are taught to respect all values and differences. Whether your straight, tranz, g@y, bi, non-b!nary, atheist we are all told "you're welcome here!

What's that? You are not okay to have guvt juice shot into your veins? HOW DARE YOU! Now leave before Dec. 8 so we can go back to showing the world how inclusive we are.

Fair point however Ford has been shedding people over the last several years. Last year and this year they offered the VSSP to anyone meeting the eligibility requirements.
Two years before that the had a large layoff and the year prior to that a buyout.

Ford is transforming into a company that monetizes information and just happens to sell BEV 's. They don't need that many PHD's or PD people in general. The big push is to hire hardware and software engineers and an army of programmers.

My thought is that the number of people that are fired or quite over the vaccination issue will determine if the have another layoff next year.

As for “ nothing they can do , it’s a federal policy” , they all have lobbyists in DC who could push back if they wanted to.

New guidelines are supposed to be released November 5. I’m curious if Ford will rescind the present policy if the executive order is successfully challenged in the courts.

Still haven’t heard anything new from their crosstown rivals.

Kiersten has those crazy sanpaku eyes. Ford will do what they always do. The decision-makers will somehow find a way to make the wrong call. They'll end up terminating some people unjustifiably and then when the political winds change Ford will lose hundreds of millions of dollars in lawsuits.

Good golly. Get your vaccines and shut the h*** up. Stop whining like a bunch of entitled, spoiled brats. If you don’t want a vax, then quit - or Ford will do it for you.

If you get the jab, don't get the jab, don't care. That's actually your business and frankly no one else's.

So, for Ford Management that I suspect reads these comments: Three words: "Fully Informed Consent".

I will need an original manufacturers spec/information sheet showing the full list of ingredients and a full list of any and all possible side effects.

I will also need a copy of the document I signed in wet ink when I was hired, or thereafter, showing that I agree to perform any medical procedures as a condition of employment.

Why the he-l does the email say nothing about unpaid leave? Detroit news says unpaid leave if not fully vaccinated i.e. 14 days after last shot. They tell us today we got to dec 8th talk about procrastination and inly salary employees are part of the federal contractors most of us are mainly wfh. Religious exemptions might be approved but due by nov 17. How much you want to bet none 9f those will be appro ed and if are approved what is the accomodation especially if you wfh.

Thry want to play victim to federal gov dictates but WOW talk about late notice to employees and with lits of unanswered questions or info. Detrpit news had more info than their stupid email.

Thanks alot Ford

Totally agree with "allowing religious exemptions it total BS". How about allowing "I've done the research and don't feel the risk/reward ratio is in my favor". Not saying that will be the case for everyone (e.g. >50 and/or underlying health issues which account for the largest share of deaths), but I do believe it's the case for many.

I think they came up short on their goal for headcount reduction through the VSSP.
I work on site in Dearborn with about 40-50 people in the building. The only people I know of who did not get a shot was a few of the PS people.
Everyone I interact with has the shot.

Maybe they can get rid of enough people to met their goals and avoid layoffs next year.

"religious accommodation requests "

Are you white? Are you black? Are you Asian?

If so, then tough luck. You will absolutely NOT be granted a religious exemption.

Now, are you arabic? Congrats!!! You are a valid winner of the choice to not have to be vaxxed if you do not want to. Guaranteed.

CNBC and Detroit News report first step in non compliance is 30 days unpaid leave. GM did not comment on any changes in their policy, Stellantis has no mandates yet.

Evidently they don't care about protecting their team, families, and communities the same way Ford does

Remember, Jim Farley was born into a family of privilege's. His father was a banker, and a Knight of Malta. He also was involved in many other aspects of the political system. Rest assured, Farley was chosen for this role long ago, in order to carry out this planned tyranny and world order.

~Ford is mandating the vaccine even if one has "natural immunity" that certain post below are clueless on when compared to the vaccine.

~Ford could offer weekly testing but they're not because of money and they're in support of an totalitarian Government.

~Ford is not touching any union controlled area's including salary within. Union can refuse/choose not receive vaccine. All about the $$$$$$$$$$$

~If one has an reaction against the vaccine that person is screwed because Ford is not responsible and the Government is not responsible and people are getting serious reactions that the media/Google snuffing out.

~Will Ford except exemptions .... we shall see.

@1bou+1dCjFaTA - They say so, but I sure don't believe they'll honor any religious accommodation requests and most likely will reject any medical exemptions that they don't think are "legit".

Of course if you expect to be shown the door anyways, is there much to lose in composing a cognant assessment of why it's unethical for you to take any of these shots?

Post ID: @1ein+1dCjFaTA

@1dvo+1dCjFaTA - it's not meant to be achievable, it's just ticking off boxes to keep Ford aligned to being able to access money/sales by the Federal gov't. Plus able to terminate before the holidays to claim cost savings and structural savings to make the Q4 numbers look better.

And I really don't expect that anyone that hadn't already accepted the shots is on the fence and rushing out to get them now just because HR says you really have to and have to do it right now.
