Retention bonus!? Do they really think that some retention bonus will keep people who have been wanting to leave for months and who have definitely decided to leave!?
I don't believe it.
The retention bonus can only keep a few, and not for long. They would have to offer a lot more in addition to retention bonuses to keep the best.

Why would anyone requesting a legitimate exemption change their mind for $$. That would certainly put you on somebody's radar. You'd likely be axed before the bonus was paid out.
