I cannot believe what I am reading! (or maybe I can!) I was part of the 3k layoff back in March. Believe me even though I am still angry about how I was shown the door (after 18 years!) and my livelihood has negatively changed I am so glad to be out of that awful company. I am sorry you all are having to be threatened with your job if you are not vaxxed. Centene does not care about you at all! I love the idea of a office wide call out and reporting to the news outlets..I am sure that P.O.S. Michael Neirdorff would love the negative media attention about his precious company!

I filed my religious exemption several weeks ago and still no word. God please let them let me go or deny me. (Can we say religious discrimination.) The massive amounts of lawsuits that will be coming will make heads roll! So many attorney's are chumping at the bit to get paper work rolling. I believe they will not review the religious exemption so there is no official denial over it to prevent lawsuits. But to put everyone who's filed it on unpaid leave, is just a way to skirt the system. This will not stand in court. SC, TX,FL,SD,MI and many other states are making it to where if you are let go over this you can file for unemployment. Even the Secretary Of Labor stated unemployment will be on a state by state bases to which CENTENE will have to pay. No way these states are going to sit back and allow these major corporations, especially government backed insurance companies like Centene, who's money is generated by tax payers, hurt the tax paying citizens by placing them on unpaid leave/let go, and cripple local economies. With 45% of the country looking like they are about to be unemployed, it would appear that there will not be a lot of taxing going on to keep these companies revenues coming in. We are all connected. Imagine how upset the stock holders are going to be when the price starts to crash or Michael can't afford to give himself a 25 million dollar raise.

The day after the meeting talked about below, they had another meeting with the remaining people that have not submitted proof of vaccination. They totally back peddled and told everyone that Nov. 30th is not what they meant. That the Nov. 30th date to be fully vaccinated is for people returning to the office of phase 1 or 2 I believe. Apparently they said they would come out with a Q&A and email it out. They back peddled because 700+ plus people the day prior freaked out about the Nov. 30th date. This is the first I've heard about having to have exemptions in by Nov. 12th, I believe? They also told everyone is the second meeting that the medical exemptions have been approved are only few and there's pretty much timeframes to them. I was told there has been one, only one that was medical approved indefinitely. However, that employee may Never return to the office, EVER! As far as religious exemptions they pretty much said no ones have been approved. If anyone knows anyone that's been approved, how long did it take to process? I'm not sure how they can deny a religious exemptions. It sounds pretty illegal under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. There's a bunch of case laws as well where courts have sided with those and their religious beliefs.

I've gotten 3 emails in the past months reminding me to upload proof of vaccination before 12/31/2021. If someone can verify the cut off date, that would be great.

We need more details on this or someone else with inside knowledge to chime in. How can they set a cut off date for exemptions but place you on leave just because they haven’t gotten to your specific case in time?

I submitted my exemption and HR responded, "DUE TO OVERWHELMING AMOUNT OF REQUESTS, YOURS WILL BE REVIEWED CLOSER TO YOUR BACK TO OFFICE DATE." SO YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THEY ARE GOING TO LET US GO WITH OUT REVIEWING OUR EXEMPTIONS?!! WOOOOOOOW!! If Nov 12th is the exemption deadline let's start the strategic call outs Nov 12th and carry it out till end of the month. If half of us call out Nov 12,15th, 16th (while others clock in do very little work ) then the other half can call out 17th,18th,19th (while the ones clocked in do very little. ) tons of people take week of Thanksgiving off, if you are scheduled to work, work very slowly! Take long breaks! If Centene cared so much about their employees, families and communities they wouldn't be planning this around the holidays and causing mental stress on us and hurting our local economies! Unbelievable!! Pure Evil!! Working for this company is starting to turn my stomach! Call your governor's office and make them aware. Get out and protest!! Call your local news!! They want employees to be vaccinated but don't want the liability should one experience adverse reaction that disables them or ki--s them. No thank you!!

Sooo what is the point of Centene asking to submit exemptions by November 12th if they are going to cut access and place everyone on unpaid leave? Is this even legal for them to do if you’re submitting an exemption??? Seems like I need to call a lawyer about this!

They will lose enough employees by the end of November due to lack of vaccination proof. Just sat in a meeting today, if you're not fully vaccinated by end of Nov. you will be placed on unpaid leave until Jan 4th. If you're not fully vaccinated by end Dec. you will be terminated by Jan. 4th without severance. Doesnt matter if you're waiting for HR to hear something about exemptions or if you WFH without a return to office date. Even if you still waiting to hear from HR in regards to you exemption accommodation you WILL lose access at the end of Nov. if not fully vaccinated.
