Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Back to work Jan 3. Masks required if not vaccinated.

Finally leadership shows some backbone. Fingers crossed for testing requirements for the unvaxxed. Hopefully this will convince the ignorant to get the vaccine and make life easier on everyone.

You can get antibody tested for covid usually at the same place you can get covid tested. Maybe they could work out that result somehow.

I have always just said that I am vaccinated and have never had any problem, they never even ask to see anything.

@1zab - It was nice to finally hear a Chevron leader with decision making authority to acknowledge natural immunity.

However, without giving an option to present proof of antibodies, people who are un-vaxxed but have immune protection from recovering from COVID are lumped into the same pool of people who are un-vaxxed w/ no immunity.

As much as he believes in the validity of natural immunity, those people will still be easily identifiable (masks & stickers) and put in a group that so many have been conditioned to think of as being immoral, selfish and stupid.

I appreciate the lip service but there is no objective science (given all the research available today) around making an un-vaxxed person who has natural immunity from recovering from COVID wear a cloth non-n95 mask, but a person who is in the waning phase (40% - 60% efficacy) of their vaccine gets to walk around without one. BOTH groups have enough immunity to protect against severe illness, hospitalization & death, but BOTH can also catch & spread COVID.

Masks might be required for you to wear if you were to say you’re not vaccinated. But, if you say that you’re vaccinated, then there’s no mask requirement for you. So, just how are you prepared to respond to the question? Remember, it’s only a question, nothing more. HINT: I know how I’m going to answer that question.

Employers are firing more people over fake vaccine cards

Just like the front offices at major sports teams, businesses around the country are having to make tough choices about employees either refusing to get vaccinated against COVID-19, or in some instances, even faking their vaccination status.

But unlike National Hockey League player Evander Kane, who received a 21-game suspension last week for reportedly submitting a fake vaccine card to his team, employees caught doing the same in many offices in the U.S. could not only be terminated from their jobs, but potentially face prison time if employers choose to report offenses to authorities."

Falsifying a vaccine card, or presenting a fake one is bringing a 7 year PRISON sentence. Google it.

This is not backbone. Backbone would be mandating the vaccine and those not complying would be fired without severance.

Oh yeah and layoffs are happening when? I’m sorry I thought this was a layoff board! People with no friends, no social life, being all trolly. I just can’t take it!

Remember, you will go to prison (not jail) prison for years if you submit fake or forged vaccine cards.

Nothing says we embrace diversity and value inclusion like branding humans with stickers based on their vaccination status.

They're doing that for after the pandemic? Just in time! That doesn't affect the bulk of the workforce anywho, we all have the (ahem) vaccinated ID cards now. Nothing to see here, move along.
