Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

My jobless experience

I couldn't take it anymore. When I quit because I could no longer bear the daily overload of work, when it started to affect my private life - I gave notice even though I had no other offer at the time. It was really a huge stress and I thought it wouldn’t end well, but here's what happened: three weeks later I got a new offer that is much better than Allstate. So today my chapter with Allstate is finally over.

It seems that for the good of career as well as mental and physical health, it is better to be out of work for a few weeks than to continue to rot in Allstate?

Note: it is not my intention to encourage anyone to quit and be jobless, it is still a big risk, but in my case it turned out to be a very good decision.

This place has us chained to our desks at home. We have to input a reason why we’re taking a quick potty break on our virtual assist screens. Treated like 5 year olds. We’re expected to work long hours 10-12 without a break to get unattainable production numbers daily . Micromanaged to the bone .

Wouldn't recommend for everyone, especially older workers or those with limited or no valuable skills.
