Old is new again! CTO said HAMR will be the next tech for 15 years and costs are decreasing at the same rate as SSD. Why does everyone worry so much? HDD is not going anywhere.

If they hire outside talent and ban all Seagate entrenched executives from making any decisions on it for 5 years then maybe.

It is propagation if the illusion that there is a place for HDD in the future beyond 2025. Why would customers do business with this old tech company over the real cloud companies?
