Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Health Insurance

Just received the 2022 open enrollment. All I can say is wow , hard to sell that lack of insurance to any potential new hire. I’m surprised more people don’t leave after seeing those numbers.

This should be a bigger topic. When Windstream took over EarthLink - the cost of insurance went up 50percent. EarthLinks insurance was lame also - but it had a lower deductible and covered 90percent instead of ws best 80.

WS keeps raising insurance prices while reducing benefits. Sc--w this place.

That monthly contribution and the insurance doesnt cover ANYTHING. I’ve never seen insurance not pay anything towards prescriptions. I’ve never hit my deductible, but run up $3k in prescription bills a year for a few simple monthly scripts. Started using GoodRx and not using insurance, , scripts are far cheaper. Next year I go insurance free, I pay them monthly and they dont cover a dime of my medical expenses.

How much did it go up? I haven't been paying much attention. Figured I'd see it soon enough.

I am on my wife’s plan because Windstream “insurance” isn’t insurance at all. It’s nothing more than catastrophic coverage at best. When I stop using Windstream so-called insurance 3 1/2 years ago, I was extremely happy because it covered nothing……and that was their “best” plan.
