It's been a bit quiet on that front, does anybody know if anything is brewing?

Riffs riffs riffs hope I get mine today!!
There’s a whole group that has covid In Polaris. Only one case was told to employees. Some Employee appreciation that was. So hypocritical. I hope everyone that has to be in the office after working from home successfully for a year just to please the upper management screws off as much as possible as payment for the blatant disregard of their health that JPMC is showing their employees.
Usually end of year, it's freeze. They'll probably start hiring in Jan.
In my group, we have tons of job openings "that we can't fill" but yet we aren't allowed to make offers to actually hire anyone. It's as if they want this illusion. I seriously don't understand.
Many have departed of their own accord. Then we were told we could fill positions but not in NY/NJ, they had to be in Plano. But they supposedly from up the food chain to our leader on Operating Committee, we aren't allowed to make offers.
So we go through this song and dance about all these job openings, and acting like we are recruiting, but we aren't really making any moves.
I hope it's just my division, because this is nonsensical if it's more widespread.
Remain calm finish year strong and collect big bonus. No layoffs coming as I can see
Red October?
Yeah coming up in the next few weeks...usually after Columbus day.
Massive attrition rate at JPM of their own making....over 20%...they are bleeding folks and I know of at least 7 from my former team...folks want out...its too bad C-suite don't realize its the middle manager MDs and below that need to be gutted...
They have a lot of job openings BUT are not hiring. Managers are doing without to look good.
What you gonna do about it if it does?
Senior leadership was actually talking about how they don’t have enough recruiters to hire all the people they need. Looks pretty good for workers right now.
I'm always worried it's the calm before the storm in these situations.
