Thread regarding CVS layoffs

What is the problem? Nobody wants to work here?

CVS is hiring, but no one seems to be applying. I do not believe that the reason some positions are vacant is that the company is picky about candidates. Leadership should finally think about why no one will work here anymore. I am also on the verge of quitting.

Company sucks. Simple. No one wants to go to work everyday in a sh-t factory.

We can’t keep managers because they are overworked and due to having so few hours budgeted for HOO most of the time we are running registers not stores. We have managers being forced to run 2 stores because we can’t keep managers. CVS is a horrible company to work for..

I work in IT and this is the worst company I have worked for in the past 30 years. They talk about equity and diversification but a majority of the programmers are from India (TCS, Cognizant, etc). Don't get me wrong, the people from India are great to work with and put in 60 hours each week to get projects done but Corporate pushing all these WOKE initiatives is really just virtue signaling. Additionally, they have so many ridiculous processes in place that adding one line of code to a program can take 3.5 months to get the change/enhancement to production.

Corporate IT is India central. I don't think they want American developers.

Everywhere is short staffed. CVs isn’t the only retailer with issues.
