Saw someone talking about Arity in a different thread. Why does Arity exist and why does it not get absorbed into Allstate?

Thanks, Happilyretiredafter35yearswiththe BigA.
Now I have some familiarity with that rarity named Arity.
It’s my understanding that Arity only sells aggregated data. No individual customer specific information is sold, the data collected via Drivewise and is aggregated and then sold.
I just want some clarity about all this hilarity over Arity.
@3srx+1d26GhUZ sadly, the collection of driving days on a mobile device is a dying capability.
As apple and Google continue to restrict access to the vital sensors and background processing with each new release of their mobile operating systems, Arity runs a risk of being rendered useless.
Counterpoint: the reality is that after 5 years and an enormous investment Arity has little to show for it in terms of real customers and the vast majority of their revenue is coming from Allstate/Nat Gen. Whining and misdirection and hand waving don't change the fact that a business plan that required insurers to pay and trust a company that reports to F tower is comically stupid.
names! Names! NAMES! Some OP who is really self-important keeps demanding customer names! Doesn't understand that while a business can publish overall revenue data, many of its customers do not want their names to be disclosed. The customer may be another insurance company that does not want it known that they are getting information from Allstate. Some may not want to be asked about how much they are paying to an Allstate-owned entity. And some may simply decide that they don't want to be gossiped about on a message board by some pushy OP who keeps demanding names.
So, from the suggestion to check the news releases I see AXA and Southern Farm Bureau.
That must be literally hundreds of policies!

No one is buying the data. That is the point.
They've partnered with several publishers to collect data. Not sure they list who is buying that data.
check news link on arity site. they list multiple companies
Curious, the name of a customer is proprietary but specific revenue numbers aren't?
2 things:
Any insurer using Arity's rating plan would disclose it to DoIs, most states have open records laws that make it public.
Alternately, give a ballpark % of Arity's revenue that isn't coming from Allstate/NG. Hint 0 is a number.
It's all smoke and mirrors.
@2sur;
Dude, do you own this board? “Again” you demand names. Nobody in their right mind is going to name names of customers on a public board. That is proprietary or confidential information.
I think the point is no insurance company except Allstate and NatGen actually pay for Arity telematics. Can someone prove differently? It’s another dead end venture, like Drift.
Again, NAME an insurance company (P&C please) that isn't Allstate / Nat Gen that wrote Arity a check.
Alternately, what % of that $128M came from a P&C insurance carrier that is not All/NG?
Arity grossed $128 million over the past 4 quarters. Arity works with many different insurance companies,. Hence, it was thought best not to brand it Allstate. Focus on Arity is good way to avoid fixing the auto product.
Name one
Arity sells telemetry data to other insurance companies.
