Thread regarding Anthem Inc. layoffs

This needs to stop, now

I'm sick and tired of certain management members being allowed to use bullying and intimidation as a management method day in, day out without any repercussions. It's destroying morale and affecting productivity. I was considering approaching HR about this but I was warned against it. Something has to be done, though. This is not how a place of work should function.

HR is for the company, not you. Never ever go.

There are three things companies hate - EEOC complaints, anonymous complaints, and worker's compensation claims. I fell on a foot bridge that was covered with moss and mold years ago and injured my shoulder. My manager at the time pulled me into a closed office and told me that I would be 'marked' by HR if I filed the medical appointments and therapy treatment against worker's comp for the company not maintaining the foot bridges on their property. Like the other post indicated, keep doing your job while looking for another position at a different company.

People don't know that companies hate two things eeoc complaints and anonymous complaints ...and now of course glassdoor complaints. Nobody knows about filing with the eeoc , they all go to HR like sheep and then get royally screwed.

HR won't help. It will make it worse. Do you job, and look for a transition to a new company. We are all expendable. Even the new CMOs

Put a Glassdoor complaint and file with the eeoc. Alot of ppl don't do the latter and so they get screwed.

Very true concern. I know a Department where this happened and the Manager is still here but they "found" reasons to let the two people go who went to HR. As much as they say there is no bullying tolerated and you can speak freely with HR, it really isn't true. So sad. I really miss the old days.

Start a paper trail; use email, etc. as much as possible and document verbal communication. If multiple people document then you can go to HR as a group and it will be harder to ignore. Power is in groups, very hard to get a change to happen individually.

This is the exact reason I quit this POS company. HR will let the manager know then the manager will find a way to get you fired. This company is 🗑
