"Chief People Officer" is so cringe. You will always be the HR department, please spare us all the unnecessary eye-rolling and snickering, there's already plenty of that going on without trying to constantly "rebrand" everything but then never actually changing the structure or function of things.

Mattel is in deep structural trouble. Where else do you see a functioning company with 100s of VPs, SVPs, EVPs, GMs, and now C++ like Chief People Officer? Chief Legal Officer? Chief Design Officer?! That's a sign of irrelevance...like the kid trophies they give to the losing team so no one get hurt feelings . Mattel only needs one brilliant mind to take it back to a true profit-making business, but all they have is corporate climbers sucking up very fat pay checks and bonuses. No one is telling the hard truth, and the top just wants to put lipstick on it to make a better sale.
