Lowpoint was an attempted humble-brag by new Head of Infrastructure (guy sitting next to SVB) about Sept 11 (!) and his "leadership skills" or some such rambling. Tone-deaf and awkward.

You cannot do automation when ypur manager is in love with gigantor spreadsheets and refuses to listen to SME's bcuz they have no and never had a technological clue

Several on calls today said KF's entire Mortgage team gets to WFH? WTF. Get ready for mutiny.

Best thing I ever did was retire from this toxic hellhole. Senior management talks all this bu-----t about how all these teams have transitioned to Agile, they have no clue, it’s a cf for the teams working both agile and waterfall, bimodal.

Oh also in the townhall: Hagerman said the industry standard for the survey is over a 90% response, but the company was around 30% (no surprise to anyone here). Since Weinbach got it extended, the company is over 50% and CLT 77% … or something.

Then he said his performance review and MBO is tied to it. Now we know the real reason for the extension.

The survey should be flagged for a flagrant foul over that. Is there a Bullsh1t Rating we can downgrade it to when the results come out?

I hope whoever came late to the ratings
are honest about what a sh1t show this place is now.

Townhall summary: Call out to the vets who can’t cope with Afghanistan, RTW November even though the slide showed October, architects reorg’d but still puppet string dotted line control to Hagerman (or so he and Dmitri are being led to believe), new super unit in CLT led by execs too far removed to be meaningful, high level purty pyramid diagram of testing …. Zzzzz dozed off.

@dgg+1cxaKRMP Yeah the so called 'engineer' inflation in this place is honestly pathetic.

I never saw good unit testing outside a couple projects at Wells, even though the "senior" engineers on it were paid 200k+.

You can’t do automation when you can’t keep an environment running. Anyone that knows anything about automation knows unless things are working perfectly, it doesn’t.

Now they have no one to do anything manually when it fails all the time because they laid anyone who do how to do that off. Amazing how these great new leaders don’t know that.

It's clear how much (little) we value automated testing....sheesh.
