Since this company is anti experience and knowledge I suggest they offer anybody with more than 25 years of experience a golden handshake buyout package. Heck just think of all the possibility’s… lower pay scales for fresh meat bodies out of school , no vacation to pay out , much improved morale since they don’t know all the bankruptcy corruption ( yet ) … it’s a WIN WIN

well here it is. employers with >100 employees will require vaccination or weekly testing.
Looks like that's their plan. Everybody that knew anything is gone. I'm so tired of not getting raises, not getting my vacation increased, not being able to get premium tours and vacation days because the cater to new hires. They're letting new hires take over our company and flush it down the commode. Customers want compassion, concern, and their problems resolved. Not a bunch of made up lies because they do not know what to tell customers and do not know how the service works. I can't help but laugh at what some customers are told by Windstream reps. The goal is to get customer off the phone as quickly as possible. If you can do that then the company will cherish you. It's all about numbers now and not the customers. The company is a mess and Tony Thompson needs to stop letting his advisers lie to him. Get out there Tony. Talk to the little guys who get cussed out on a daily basis because your company is failing the consumer.
GET OUT NOW
Alot of companies are seizing this opportunity of identifying the employees with a sub par IQ. But again, it would be over half of our back country Corp HQ. Ozarks hahaha
Dropping the mo--ns who won't get vaccinated will only do good things for this company. You don't normally have the opportunity to fire the d-mbest half of a workforce. I say we go for it
If the “vaccine” becomes a condition of employment then well over half of the employees will go home. I’ve spoken to many different employees (techs, managers, engineers, IT) who have said that they will gladly leave if this becomes mandated. The company is hanging by a thread right now and if over half leave then kiss it goodbye.
Arkansas vaccination rate is only at 40%. Imagine 60% of employees not allowed to come back to work. Let's hope Windstream employees are smarter than the general population of Arkansas.
Never happen. Corp HQ is in Arkansas, most of our leadership team originates from the Ozarks.
If a jab is Required that will certainly eliminate the majority. Alabama is only 36% at this time. South in general is in rough shape.
They will clear out a lot of folks when they mandate the jab.
I had 22 years at WS and knew my time was coming by things being said "behind the scene". I got out and now have an engineering job with no on call...I get all my days off and all my holidays
I was at 23yrs and my manager was straight with me at my last review, stated due to my salary he sees me being involved in an upcoming RIF. He explained my “stellar” reviews have kept my job safe to date but we are down to 3 NetOps techs in my region and we all have stellar reviews and my salary is 30% higher than the next guy. While it may not be fair or right, I appreciate the heads up. Wrapped up my reviews and passed my dr-g test, just waiting on my start date at the new company! Its been real Windstream!! Job market is booming right now, got 3 call backs and had my choice of jobs. No clue how 2 NetOps techs will cover this large a footprint. We had 8 guys not that long ago. Oncall is going to run these guys into the ground.
Make it anyone with 20+ years. Give me a golden parachute and I’ll happily go away.
