Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Does DXC force their management to promote?

So I’ve had a LinkedIn connection with an ex-coworker since way when we both were still working at HPE (we both traveled from P&G -> HP -> HPE. I left HPE and he’s moved on to DXC in the transition. All of a sudden he’s promoting DXC on LinkedIn like never before. Almost every week. I mean, this guy NEVER posted on that site and bow all of a sudden he’s their biggest cheerleader. I also notice the same with behavior another former coworker I am connected to who didn’t do such things before. What gives? Maybe it’s on auto…

I also moved from P&G to HPE and then a short while to DXC before I left. And Yes, we were regularly asked to post items on Linkedin - I never did. I also kept HPE as my last employer. Felt very quickly that DXC was not something to be proud about.

I got an email from corporate a while back asking me to change my profile from "HPE" to "DXC Technology". Of course, I ignored it. Maybe the people posting these positive reviews are just brown nosers. I work with a lot of them!

strikes me its akin to committing professional su----e posting on Linkedin how great DXC and their "stack" is or by "liking" anything along these lines

It is probably one of their KRAs that impacts their variable pay. It is not about content but about volume of postings and even likes. The assumption is that online “presence” will boost sales.

Not force, but pester with monthly emails (to personal email (linkedin contact)) IF it is detecteced you are a regular poster.... A message stating that it is beneficial for individuals to be posting 'market relevant' data! I was not prepared to 'dirtbag' my rep on LinkedIn... f-ck them..

However, a white paper I contributed to was posted on LinkedIn (not by me) what can I say? Although white papers are not sell the 'Stack' PR goo goo.

Colleagues of mine used to post the DXC material, but each to their own... maybe it helps in the reviews or WFR selections???
