How long does a coaching stay in an associate's file?

It lasts as long as the person who wrote it wants it to. It can last 1 day, 1 month, 1 year, etc.
1 year. If you get another, you're at a yellow for a orange for a year even after the first one falls off. If you get a 3rd and are on a red.. it is there for a year even after the first 2 come off.
Forever. They 'fall' off but the actual coachings remain in your file for as long as you work there.
If its open-door'd then its gone from your file.
