Selling and Support Captain 2

I think that the job openings all over for Selling and Support Captain is going to take over for sales manager jobs .. I watch as long time sales managers get the boot and be forced retired or out of nowhere get a package and 2 week notice .
I think with this new role out of everyone doing everyone jobs the elephant in the room is the sales manager job being cut to hire cheaper staff to make the numbers look good.. Macys doesn't care if you worked there 2 weeks or 30 years your its boils down to how much you make and how that reflects in the stock price and over all numbers.. the hire you make the more of a target you are.. Ops manager do Budgets for stores as well as corporates.. Notice no AC on during 99 degree weather? Notice the escalator is not on during the week? Notice hours cut , lights shut off , bags shortage, etc.. its all to keep the budget down so the Ops can keep his job until they fire him for a cheaper person.. anyone who is being let go is due to Ops/vs doing cuts with corporates help.
The new Macys will be only selling and support captain and store managers No sales manager.. the rest of the crew back of house and front will be doing the same job so there is coverage on calls outs on key days like friday and sat..

Clearly you don’t know what you are speaking of. Ops is not in charge of budgets. That’s the Business Administration Manager. Captains are elevated sales associates. They won’t replace managers but it could be possible they cut managers again. Hence one or two less managers with one manager managing all the captains.

I doubt it. You can't work hourly people to death the way the red badges are worked. Even with reduced pay you can't afford all the OT. FLSA and all, you still have to have Managers.
