I was a membership representative. Lasted about 18 months. Started out 1 green a day and got to 13/day. Plus first was 58%. I decided to leave due to the fact I was a glorified associate. Covering membership desk, self check out, and having team leads upset with me because I wouldn’t cover breaks in the Front end. My job was to teach train and develop and towards the end I was essentially a regular associate. The only way to be successful is to have a good FEM

Membership Representative technically is a manager but no codes, but that does make two front end managers. I hear most Member Reps are failing in their role. Surprised they haven’t severance’d them out yet.
Please let the witch get fired or let go or whatever. Just want her out.
Really? Do anyone knows?
Pretty much sums it up for our company's workforce.
Well we are getting another AM on front end so we will have 2 in every dept. We are also getting another front end team lead, based on our club volume. So if anything happens it will be based club to club on volume. Just like the closings of Sam's. Yes, some have closed and some will continue to close. In lower volume areas. However, more are opening elsewhere.
You people will believe anything...
The meat lead is NOT 25 an hour
I’m thinking they are going to have another management purge at the end of this year. Just like they have done over and over again in the past, anyone with an active coaching will be let go so they can replace with new talent. Problem with this is the “new” talent sucks!!! They are usually lazy and do nothing for the clubs or business!
My opinion is they will cut down the managers to 3 just like Walmart did this last year. With us having so many high paid Leads that basically do managers jobs anyway there is no need for as many and that will ultimately save the company millions on pay and bonuses.
My club just opened a MIT spot for another front end manager. We’ll have 2 Merch, 2 fresh and 2 front end. So I don’t know….
The old saying goes “the handwriting is on the wall”, looks like all the Assistant Managers jobs are in danger. Team Leads, MSL’s pay raised to $18 plus an hour, Meat Dept. TL at $25 hour; TL’s carry front door keys, can be left in building without a salaried manager on duty, they all are food safe certified, had to take and pass the new TL training which teaches manager duties and their direct manager had to mentor the TL. Think about it; company has an $18 TL to do the job, does not have to pay manager benefits, it is a win/win for the company. The question is; when is it going to happen? I believe they will work managers through holidays and let go before the fiscal year ends on 1/31/2022 so they do not have to pay out on bonus. Who knows with this company, things change from day to day and I am only speculating by what I see in our Club.
