SATG will have layoffs this year! GL is putting the band back together to form SSG 2.0(remember Renee). He pulling all software groups from different BU's...since Pat loved SSG 1.0 and now wants budget & resources consolidation. Sigh, we now have 10 PMs, 25 Architects, boat load of powerpoint editors/PEs, not to mention managers jockeying for positions stepping on each other.
Good time to get out if you are in SATG.

none expected Pat's gospel is redeploy if needed no forced departures etc. We are on growth track IFS new fabs -- get ready for hefty bonuses and job security -mgrs will gauge the performance and reward- soon to be a WOW company

The only problem is that the wrong people will be laid off. Thin out some VPs and directors and you’ll have $$$$$ savings. There are quite a few people in my management chain that add absolutely no value.
