Heard that this weeks union meeting was rescheduled due to company bringing back the last surplussed techs. Anybody hear anything?

No ispp will be called back. It's over.
What local union?
"As for striking good luck with the union calling a strike. They should have done it the last 2 or 3 contracts when we all voted to, but they ignored us . They’ll do it again if it means a payoff from the company.
Actually they are laying off a lot of the Sales and Office people to outsource cheap, that's who they catered every contract too, extend the upper end bonus and wages for a turnover job that most burn out on in less then 5 years, why all the Techs kept getting fleeced. Empty Promises to people that would never be around to see them mostly.
Even more funny the few that made it there had to fight to get the money since they tried to use creative math to not give it to them or changed the numbers for percentages etc.
SROs are just as much in the dark about the truth as techs are. HR knows they can manipulate the union workforce by selectively leaking through the SRO useful id--ts.
You are correct in a way, yes there are other jobs that are in the union. But net techs are the majority. You get rid of net techs you get rid of the union bargaining power (like they have any to begin with).

Can’t just lockout net/broadband techs. It’s goes across the board. CO, design, power, CO Installers, building maintenance, 911, and many more. They all gotta go, and you can’t just shop as you go to fill all the jobs on a as needed basis. We need to be ready to strike come 2023.
I'm a tech that's going to get the boot on 9/30 this is just a pathetic rumor, 1st techs wont be returning shame on you for posting this rumor, second the union isn't aware of this cause I asked multiple union stewards. BTW when the contract expires back in April 2023, it wont be renewed, Net Techs and Broadband techs will be locked out with the new enhanced premise techs title. So save up and payoff your debts and move on. Its going to get ugly guys per a field manager. Rumor is a lot of SROs are looking outside the company to get out of this sinking ship, I don't blame them.
Without buyout money and without the paperthin ban on contractors for the RCA.
🤣😂🥲😅😆😀🤪😵💫🤤
In my area none of the techs who left a couple months ago are coming back.
You guys dont get it already .... Company wants a flexible works force, tech2go is tailored just for that. Just like ordering groceries on the smartphone. Contractors they will bring in on a as per needed basis or as per the needs of the business. The old school id--ts who are holding on for a buyout, you are truly mo--nic and got screwed, you just haven't realized it yet.
I doubt it, the surplus in Utah has been extended 3 times. Guys where set to be off the books by 6/30 and now it’s been pushed month after month till 9/30. People keep leaving without the buy out money because the new employers can't wait. It’s an evil plan that is working for the company.
