I was ranked OwD this year and am FI. Gauging when to make my exit to inflict maximum pain.

All decisions, including PIP results, PIL time, For Ed retirement due to MLRP etc have to be done “no later than” Dec 1, meaning absolute last day as employee for all of those is Nov 30 - unless you take and pass a PIP.
Awesome Post 😂!
We are going to fire you.
I quit.
Please come back.
I’m still here and happy with my role but I am rooting for those who gave mgmt the finger.
I know several instances where people got an NSI and then took the PIL. Mgmt tried to convince them that the PIP was doable. They all said I’m sure it is but their dignity was worth more.
This may be odd, but you will get past it. You'll rarely even think about Exxon once you leave. When you do, you'll visit this board, see that nothing has changed and be glad you left.
Honestly, right now is a good time to be looking for a job. I get a few recruiters calling me every week right now. Most of the offers are competitive with what Exxon used to offer. You'll have to jump around till you find the right fit, but that first job is likely your "rebound" and you'll see problems there in time too. Just use all your time to job hunt, and you will land something.
Nov 30 2021. You can leave anytime if RE. I had a co worker leave abruptly and left us short handed. The management was pi---d that they did not take the
PIP and beg for their job. Sc--w exxon if they think they can PIP good workers and get away with it.
Commit to a bunch of stuff and just barely start them all
End of November
Pwobly when the FG hits the CB - and you go shucks.
Three months post-PIP. Go for it.
