I was hired for a commission job back in 2013.. I did well and got myself out of debt . as the years peel away i started to realize i was wasting my life and health at this dead end job. I never had any intentions of staying 7 years.. it was the commission that made me stay.. got me to save money got a new car and things was good other than my health declining.. When commission left my eye flew open for the first time.. I truly had no reason to be here anymore and Macys laid me off with everyone else.. Now 1 year later all i see is Managers who been there 30 years quitting or retiring , everyone looks beyond stressed out and unhealthy.. place looks and feels like a flea market with no AC on in 92 degree weather and no one to help you.. as time goes on i don't see this as getting any better as its only gotten way worse.. and the new Pilot program where everyone does everyone's job is because too many people call out on key days and nothing gets done.. sears did everything macys is doing play by play and so did lord and Taylor .. Getting brand social media promotion went out the door with everything else they said .. is life after Macys better? ITS 10000X BETTER.!!! get out now go start applying for a new job.. take a paycut . take a vacation first and never show up again.. your future self depends on this one pivotal move .!

Life is SO much better after Macy’s! Those of you who are still there, leave while the job market is good! Employers who have been struggling to find even marginal employees will be delighted to have you!
