I’ve currently got two of my biggest supply vendors that won’t send me anything because they have Follett on credit hold. One even told me they have gotten no response from Follett. I send stuff to my AP and get crickets. I pray to be off this sinking ship soon.

I don’t even bull sh-t my professors anymore. I tell them the truth.
I’m hoping to be out before October.
Working on leaving too. The pressure is immense. I’m sure I’ll just get replaced with anyone off the street.
As my old Granddad used to say...
Not my circus, not my monkey!
There is a reason that American family owned companies rarely last beyond 5 generations. It's playing out right here.
Follett has been on credit hold with various publishers over the last few years at different times. It's not new.
Store people could write a manual on "How to bu-----t your school's faculty:101"
And:
To the poster who continually harps on about how strong the company is...it's your story, you tell it how you like.
I am also working on getting out of here. I hope to be out well before November, when the company will probably do another RIF and blame failures on everyone but themselves.
So are text orders not being filled because Follett is on credit hold? How many stores are seeing this. This could be Follett's Afghanistan moment. Bookstore that can't provide textbooks! Please say this isn't true!
Go ahead and keep on harping with that empty reminder.
And don't worry, I am working on leaving.
Some publishers are also refusing to fill orders for the fall. It’s interesting to have to bu-----t an excuse to irate professors about why their books aren’t in stock and they gave us the order a month ago. This company clearly struggles to pay bills. Dead silence from HO.
All the outsourced AP employees almost never reply, so you usually have to CC their supervisor to get any response.
