Those of you at stores and HO; this doesn’t apply.
For sales: those new applications that will soon be going live (or recently have), were created by offshore teams in India. The software we have proudly created, maintained, and updated, over the years, is the base line and the new toys are being released sooner than ready. Sure, Destiny has bugs… when uncovered and prioritized, we write tests and fix the bugs, so they never happen again. These new “partners” (ha!!!) have never heard of such a thing. It’s ridiculous.
Look forward to a myriad of defects - probably show stoppers! But it’s ok - it’s cheaper to spent 10k each on 10 devs who do it wrong every time, than 100k on one dev who gets it in right the first time.
For those people who say defects haven’t gotten fixed in a long time - we don’t get the choice on the what we work on. We are told what to work on and have no say. We only work on what we are told to do. That’s reality.
All the new apps… crazy short timelines with uneducated offshore development. They pay Follett staff to babysit. No joke. Could hire more competent devs from 1st year college kids.
Get rid of Aman. Save Follett.
