@6fcs+1cnFRQ8p - You should be paid for your time with AT AND the previous local ministry you worked for at least I was...

I'm hearing today that severance is based on the number of years with Ascension Technology. I had way more years with my ministry prior to becoming part of AT, but will only be paid for the AT years? Can anyone confirm that? I would have received 15 weeks (10 weeks with previous ministry) and now I'll only get the 5 weeks severance that I was part of AT.

@5euy+1cnFRQ8p - Plus they pay your medical but it doesn't stop at the end of the month, it stops at the end of the severance period so make sure you've got COBRA or something else set up to cover you after the severance period ends...

Think severance is paid like for every year worked equals 1 week of pay. If you were there for 2 years then you get 2 weeks

"So what's the severance package that you get?"

They are not releasing them until November. They need you around for 90 days to train your replacements. Feel free to research how the Disney workers reacted when this happened to them and you will understand why they don't want you to read those severance agreements ahead of time.

I had an exemption to use MS Office while everyone in my office all got shoved into Google Suite, never figured out why but then I never asked. :D The only thing I could think of is there was a doctor with a similar name to mine and doctors get handled with kid gloves in ascension land...

B-b-but Eduardo's digital studios are producing all kinds of new and........wait......they have not produced one thing the last few years since startup. hahahahahaha, Id--t.

B-b-but Eduardo's plan to switch to Google Suite from Office should save so much......wait.......there are so many individual licenses it costs more? DU----S.

B-b-but Eduardo's plan to outsource everything to India will be great since they have all the expertise needed to take over our products.......wait......they are having to hire from temp agencies to fill layoff holes because they really don't have the expertise??? STUPID!

Lol...Eduardo and Google Sweet. What a crock. Thousands of people have received exemptions to keep MS Office because Google does not work with certain programs.
Soooo...under Eduardo's plan....paying MORE money for individual licenses...likely a net savings of nothing after spending months for the transition. Brilliant leadership.

I guess this was plan B since Gerry's big push to get everyone coming into an office, even if no one else in your group lives within 100 miles of you, to stimulate collaboration and synergy got squashed by the Rona.

And what about all that collaboration that Google Sweet! produced?

Eduardo came to Ascension and within 2 years had us on Google. Guess what he did at Motorola? Same thing. Guess he's on that Google Pay app.

Best time to find a new job is while you still have one (or at least have a severance package keeping you afloat.) Start looking TOMORROW, update your resume and get your LinkedIn profile on point...

Their grimace is terribly overplayed in the firing meetings.

Benefits must not be paying well for these glasses since I couldn’t read sh-t from HCL. I don’t understand how their presentation was so blurry.

Nevermind sensitivity training is, if you stutter and stumble on your script please stfu that goes for the in shore and out of shore.

They mentioned over 400 attendees on the town hall today so clearly a warn act is mandated but unfortunately they have another week to notify the state.

I found out they won’t be paying much for these new positions. You’ll be taking a significant pay cut. Take your time and get the he-l out of here.

@1fbg+1cnFRQ8p - Are you sure about that? The way it was for last Fall's layoffs was you lose your severance ONLY if you turn down a job offer from Ascension. If you turned down a job offer from HCL or Accenture, you got to keep the severance package.

If you apply for a job and then choose not to accept the position if one is offered to you at a pay lower than your were making prior to this event we all experienced; you will forfeit your severance (Keep this in mind)

Yep, totally agreed on the "why Tuesday" question...not sure on that. I remember the "Black Thursday" a couple of years ago that combed through a lot of the Infrastructure folks. Who knows...this band of nimwits doesn't seem to know their ar-e from the ho-e in .... well you get it.

We have a meeting planned soon to do more bi-----g, since obviously Chat was turned off on the 3 calls today.

Gerry, enjoy your bonus this year! Turn your deaf ear to the cries of the families that you have affected, go and say a prayer or two to make yourself feel a bit immune. You might not sleep well for the next few nights but hey...you KNOW what you're doing....RIGHT? Of COURSE ya do.

New positions posted. Minimizing in house roles and outsourcing everyone else. No one in any of these roles should accept less than 85k a year. If you do you are an id--t

I heard all of the IT positions are being outsourced to one of 3 Indian Continent BPOs via a meeting PRE recorded by Gerry, Shehata, Di-k (he really is) and some dude pretending to be of God. AND I AM HAPPY ABOUT IT #F*ckAscension and the hedge fund they rode into town on. And Most Especially, F#CK YOU EDUARDO and your loser Motorola (look at them now) mindset bullsh!t. May Karma find you and shove it as far up your inept ar-e as it takes to teach you a lesson.

They will hire a majority

You won’t work directly for HCL, they have another outsource company for FS. Pay and benefits are terrible. Get you severance and dip.

Everyone that was on the call was affected including managers.

I attended all three. Leaderships being told in the morning, bloodletting at noon, everyone that remains as the final and one more for leaders.

@vzm+1cnFRQ8p - If it's like it was last Fall, a handful of people will be offered new jobs with Ascension to work on standing up the shiny new technologies, and HCL, TechM, etc. will take over all the legacy technologies, applications, etc...

It was at least 147 from meeting 1, applications as support. Some people from the same teams kept their jobs? They have no reason to why, nor was it explained to them?
I believe meeting 3 the folks that kept a job, was about 120ish? Basically 3-4 levels of managers, directors, Senior Directors, VP's, ect.. and a some of the support staff kept a job. Some Pacs teams, Cardiology, Relationship and demand, and whatever?

@psc+1cnFRQ8p - That's the thing about field services, network, telecom, etc. It's more "boots on the ground" type of work while the other disciplines like server, storage, virtualization, backup, etc. is work that can be done remotely by Pradeep in Bangalore. They will use this as a cull the deadwood exercise but most will be offered positions for less pay, sh---y benefits, and much less PTO (2 weeks.) If people can, now would be a good time to find work elsewhere...

I doubt there will be a new WARN letter. The 8/8 letter should cover them. Now, the 651 figure is laughable as an estimated total number even for the first round. It at least needs a 1 in front of it and probably a 2 to be accurate now.
And this round today was told a November layoff date. The 8/8 WARN letter said they would be wrapping up outsourcing in December. More to come? This will be a hoot to watch the next few years. Everyone at the top must be looking to dump and run with a super retirement package for saving a few bucks right now.

HCL wants to keep the "vast majority" of employees just like they did with the Service Desk. Keep them and use them for 6 months and then announce that everyone will be moved to other assignments because Ascension wants all operations moved offshore with no US employees on their contract. Mark my words, if you go to HCL, you will make less money and will be moved to a different assignment within 6 months. Unstable.

Field Services, Network, Telecom to HCL. HCL wants to retain the "vast majority" of associates. Supposed to be HCL town halls over the next couple days with more information. Nothing like being overworked, underpaid, understaffed, bitched at about refresh getting complete...just to get the boot.
