I’m not even angling for WFH. Just some f-ing leadership would be nice. All my managers are keeping their glass bubbles shut and the antivaxer sitting behind me is really starting to freak me out. I got the jab but I still have <12 kids at home that I’d prefer not to infect.
The latest safety video on inside ExxonMobil shows everyone wearing a mask even while working and doing zoom meetings at work. Completely fake! They should show the crowd at chick fil’a or the shade salad bar. They talk about delta and how there are breakthrough cases and latest report shows an increase in COVID cases yet positive vaccinated close contacts can still come to work with no quarantine required. Makes no sense!
The trend is not good, only at Delta.... may never see Zeta at this rate.

I applaud the "hold your breath" team. This technique will help greatly with air line travel. Those Zoom meetings and Webex just aren't getting it. Too many distracting backgrounds and who wants to see Sheila's hair.
Agree completely. Lost a family member to Covid this year and another is currently hospitalized. Supervisors and Manager don’t care anymore. Have 4 family members that are RN’s - 2 in Emergency Care. Hospitals taking a huge hit - general population being admitted now are much younger than last surge. Be safe- put your health and welfare first.

Good grief! I’m more worried about the willingness of people to get injected with an unproven “vaccine.” That’s taking a huge chance for a virus with a 99.6% survival.

This was in another thread that was deleted, but with OTC this week and many “distinguished guests” on campus, it wouldn’t surprise me if the delay in announcing new covid precautions is due to visitors.
COVID is here to stay. Need to get used to it just like other viruses we accept as part of life. There is no going back to no COVID days. We have to learn to live with it and can’t shut things down every time cases surge.
Look into hospital stats for kids. While media implies it is COVID many are actually RSV cases. By and large kids don’t have to worry. Unvaccinated adults should worry.
