Exempt from vaccine mandate

Sooooo…..there are at least 8 groups in CNIO who are exempt from the 10/11 directive. Mine is one of them. If it was that important for the health of our employees and customers to get the shot, why isn’t every group included?? Why mandate at all then?

Nope, if you have had a recent medical exam and were okay and then suffer any of the growing list of adverse reactions not hard to prove/litigate....

If someone gets an adverse reaction that causes a long term care need a doctor is not going to state it was from the covid shot. At least not with out stating it and having his/her license at risk. They are not going to rock the boat.

OSHA recently ruled that if an employee is required to get vaccinated by their employer that the employer is and can be held accountable if the employee suffers illness and or dies as a result of getting the vaccine. OSHA did not back down to Gov't etc. who tried to stop this ruling. As we know Pharma can not be sued or held accountable for vaccine fatalities.

Sounds like they’re targeting the people whose salaries they would like to eliminate. I am sick of them whipping us around. I think that the interest rate according to their wishes and they are not going to get rid of as many people at the end of the year hot would retire. So this is Plan B. What else is new

I hope company will retract this mandate. Good people who are good employees, citizens and have loved ones will work with social distancing or masks. Don’t make people who don’t want to get injected get injected.
I know there’s little hope of them retracting but fingers crossed that this AT&T vaccine mandate doesn’t really happen.

" I believe the company will back peddle. If they do mandate this, atleast a quarter of the work force in Texas is gone. Probably more."

Wrong. And stop clearing your cache to upvote our own post. So lame.

The 7 groups are exempted beyond 10/11. Additionally anyone who supervises union folk are also exempted. Again, this is per a CNIO email sent out by Bawcum. That’s not to say they eventually won’t get the mandate but as of today for those groups/supervisors they just mask and social distance.

Are these groups exempt from the mandate as a whole or only the part when they can continue to come into the office through Oct 11. There's a big difference between the two.

" The next thing all companies are talking about is those that refuse the vaccine should start paying 500 dollars month added to their medical to retrieve the loss to companies due to ignorance. I think its a great idea"

Agreed...either that or just deny and and all COVID related claims. No issues with it at all.

Got you. So as long as it helps the companies bottom line it trumps supposedly employee safety.

If you fall under this decree you better get your first shot by Aug 30th to be considered fully vaccinated by 10-11. So you have 18 days to get shot number one and paid time off to do so get it done

I doubt this is true. If so, you folks better start looking vey soon because 10/11 is not that far away. Furthermore, I think you will find this mandate is in place by many other employers.

I am part of that group and the reason given was we are imperative to disaster recovery and are right in the middle of hurricane season. I can tell you the absolute majority of us are fully vaccinated since last spring so I don't really get the exclusion but probably just temporary until the end of storm season

I'm looking at web phone now. Can you be more specific on an actual group under CNIO?

I also think it’s more about getting mgmt to leave because this mandate doesn’t cover our non-mgmt folks unless/until they get union buy in. So some are required and others aren’t. How does that stop the spread?

They’re probably afraid their benefit takeaway won’t attract enough people so they came up with a mandate to incent more to leave. (Or am I being too cynical??)
