25 years working in the BoD store and fired without a penny.

I was the hardest worker in that office and never needed a computer to do my job. Saved the company a fortune on electric bills but still they told me to go. Said I was a dinosaur. So insulting

Too expensive to keep open? Low wages no pay rise in Years cost reduction after cost reduction, building is owned … machines paid for them selves years ago… so not too expensive !! more like its CHEAPER to keep other plants open.. ADD IN THE fresh incentives government money/tax levitation interest free loans etc etc. the countries they operate out of have had a say in this as well. SAUDI ARABIA for example would’ve had quite a few bargaining chips im sure. Best of luck to them …experience skilled engineers machinst etc in the oil and gas industry are all dinosaurs ,is the logic of the movers n shajers of this world now ,energy transition (revolution) is well on its way we are just an early casualty of this.. BH will regret losing bod its a global company , but initially an AMERICAN founded powerhouse.. HOUSTON etc have already been hit hard so what did we expect.. one door closes another opens folks . Gonna be harder for the older lads but some of the young ones have a chance have a change of career ,Good luck All (was getting more and more toxic from top all way down, probably a good thing we are done) xx

So baker hughes are hiring, good on them, Aberdeen BOD is closing, it’s closing for a reason that being it’s too expensive to keep open, it’s been run down for some time now, just look at the maintenance department, quick fix department, management new what was going down long ago, don’t feel bad 😢,

All I want to know now is HOW SOON and HOW BAD are they gonna shaft us
dont think BH care about being an employer of choice in the oil and gas industry now.. core business means nothing to corporate decisions nowadays its transition transition energy save etc etc shame the company seems to be lost
Good luck

Just an exercise that’s to be carried out, you’ll get what you’re given, don’t forget the long term sickness ones

There isn't ANY negotiation. Everything is already in place and the timescale is purely a legal formality.

Total waste of time , what they going to do? , speak cr-p for a few weeks, it's just the law, get over it, won't change one single atom of the outcome!!
