Crazy as it is, there are targets for campus recruiting. I can’t say with a straight face: “come join our wonderful company!”.
How to get out of it?

If you can't do it, get a job at another company as soon as possible. You won't last at ExxonMobil if you can't lie convincingly
@3lxk+1cfMQEO5 I know of around two dozen from NC state across US, DS, and esp Chem. A couple have made it to pretty senior positions. I don’t know as many from Maryland but I know a few mostly in DS. Can’t speak for Wisconsin.
It remains a big company and there are and will be fewer folks on average from non gulf coast schools but they are around and do pretty well. Might be better for those kids if we didn’t recruit there though given what the culture has become
Very odd which schools were chosen for engineering. I don’t know anyone at the company from Wisconsin, Maryland, or NC State.
