Thread regarding MetLife Inc. layoffs

What areas and locations had a layoff?

Does anyone know which areas and locations got hit with a layoff? Was it Human Resources? Was Human Resources outsourced?

Maybe the ultimate goal is to stop selling insurance products and just invest in hedge funds to turn a profit.

No mention that we sold Poland, Greece and Argentina businesses, either.

Yes portions of HR have been outsourced to Accenture. The cuts were heavy in some areas. I know the diversity team lost half their staff. Talent lost a LOT. I find it hilarious that a company that can't figure out why their voluntarily attrition is so bad (hint for any SLT reading this thread: it's the sh---y raises and bonuses while the company is making record profits. You really think those below SLT level are a bunch of id--ts that will work for peanuts don't you?) thought the answer was gutting their talent department.

Outsourcing our IT support and software development have gone so well I'm sure this next flavor of outsourcing will be a smashing success. /s
