Cronyism from the top down

For as long as this company ignores merit in favor of bu-t-kissing and yes-mening it will continue to circle the drain. If this was an issue in certain areas it wouldn't be that bad, every company has its share of people who got promoted based on friendship or how well-liked they are. However, here, this is an issue that goes from the top to the bottom. No company can function like that and survive.

Funny part is some departments let almost all their diversity go during the layoffs last year and now are desperate to get some in their departments at all cost. What a joke. Should have kept the qualified people stay and let go of some of the dead weight that are your friends or favorite a-s kissers go! CM is guilty of this…

@1khb+1cbYEp4d 100% agree. I am also black, and I'm quite embarrassed that the company I work for is doing the things they are, like trying to increase representation of a certain race for political reasons and not because those people are most qualified. It makes me question any promotion, etc that I receive and whether I earned it or received it to become the token black person... I really wish these white saviors would stop.

Dropping the need for college degrees across the organization because African-Americans are underrepresented?

It shouldn't matter, but I'm African-American, I have a college degree, worked 6 years for the company, and I am INSULTED by this ignorant move by the company.

All of this talk upsets me because no one will ever believe I earned anything at Allstate because I deserved it, I know. You TG people with your guilt are making things worse, sell insurance for G sake!

Sending resumes out and cant wait to share what a sshow this place was after I land somewhere with strong moral leaders instead of those who play up to media fads.

Don't forget the inclusive diversity initiative... Lots of people being promoted based on skin color, s-x, sexuality, etc rather than merit as well.
