There are many people trying to leave. Once that happens what will be left are the ones who feel they can’t leave the industry, are afraid to strike out on their own or the ones who think they won’t get paid enough anywhere else. I hate to see what it’ll be like then.

All that remain in the UK, especially in Chorley and Newcastle, are the flotsam that are useless and totally unemployable elsewhere.
I left a couple of months back, for me the transition to a new employer has been great. I also understand that not everyone has the opportunity or desire to do so. To those that want to leave and have the opportunity I would suggest you go for it. If you do, I recommend that you leave the door open by leaving in the right way, that is , leave on good terms and serve your notice. It's a small world for us IT weirdos.
