Thread regarding Refinitiv layoffs

People leaving, their tasks not being handed over to anybody else.

I am looking for a new job. I am beyond frustrated. Once someone announces their departure, there's no recruitment and no knowledge transfer. There's no planning, only putting out proverbial dumpster fires. Will the management ever wake up, or will they continue to brag about 'inspirational' stuff while people are growing more and more frustrated?

And when someone leaves, there's usually no official e-mail from their boss. Only farewell e-mail they sent the day they are leaving. So there is no way of knowing in advance that somebody leaves.

If people leave and are not replaced it makes the profit margin look better. They talk like it's all rainbows and unicorns but don't really care about the employees. Keep looking, there's a lot of good jobs out there. People with a lot of years in are holding out, hoping for a severance package that isn't guaranteed. People who are near retirement are holding out until they can cash out. Glad I got out when I did.

The 'funniest' part is that even when there is a recruitment, it's really hard to find good candidates. Or any serious candidates. My team currently has a couple of positions open and they are not your typical entry level data drone jobs - but apparently hardly anyone wants to join the glorious LSEG 😎

Situation normal! Too much work, too few resources, those that remain need to work harder and harder.

No they will not wake up.
Why would they ? Management reacts on real issues, there is no money loss then we are all fine.
