Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

I'm tired all the time

There is too much work. Too many people are gone and not enough have been brought on. I'm expected to do three times as much as I had to do when I just started. This is not and should not be considered normal. We should be able to work to live, not live to work. I just want to go back to normal working hours, is that too much to ask for?

I know it’s relative, but there are literally millions of suffering folks in Venezuela, Guatemala, Ethiopia, Syria, Afghanistan etc who would trade their lives for all who complain on this site.

Former employee here, I know some of the people wonder why I am watching this site. I am still in touch with my coworkers we talk and commiserate regarding current events. I am so glad to see so many have moved on and seem to be much happier now that they are working for a different carrier. It appears Kemper has snatched about half dozen or so auto adjusters. The training Allstate provided has really been a benefit. Wasted talent, training expense all flushed down the drain by the inept leaders at this company. Good luck to all of you still hanging in, we are all in this and in my case used to be in this trying to survive the insanity.

This is part of the plan. It’s working beautifully. Wear out and demoralize US based staff as much as possible so we can hire more in India at a faster pace as new employees and old ones quit from the pressure. It’s going to get worse in the next couple years until you crumble and break. All people under 40 get out while you can. Over 40 start looking. 50-60 get your retirement plans in order and do something else for an income before Allstate puts you in an early grave due to stress. Eric Brandt and other executives are on this site for entertainment. They know what’s happening and they don’t care ! They are laughing all the way to the bank on your backs. Should of joined a Union. This is what happens when you have no support. ABUSE. Hostile work environment and unfair labor practices. Widespread at big blue.

The hire ups couldn't give two s***s about the unreasonable workload.

You could keel over and die at your computer, and they wouldn't bat an eye.

The Powers That Be don't care. Until it starts hitting them in the pockets they just don't care. And there is a lot more buying up smaller companies for fake market growth and more pain sh!tting on the peons before they start to feel it. They know what they have done but until they are a few bucks less in their fat wallets nothing will change, except more pain and struggle for us.

They keep telling us they’re trying to hire as many candidates to make up for those laid off. They realized the amount of policyholders That’ve moved on to progressive and geico due to claims delays over the last 1 1/2 years. It’s been a crazy ride . Lots of talented adjusters were laid off.
