have you been treated well by conoco ? are you satisified eith remuneration, pension plans other benefits etc .. Did they recognize years of service in concho ? any other information/advice for permian shell employees considering the move to conoco ?

The only reason the 401K is so good is because they eliminated pensions.
PTO - WORSE Everyone lost PTO days.
401k - BETTER Once vested COP contributes +6% to your 401K on top of their 6% match. Possible annual 401k bonus up to 6%. This year they gave no bonus!
Healthcare - WORSE we now have to pay monthly premiums
Short Term Bonus - WORSE Percentage window significantly shrunk
Long Term Retention Bonus - WORSE!!! Many "non-technical" office employees completely lost the option to get a long term retention bonus. Those who do qualify are seeing a smaller percentage window.
Moral - WORSE there is a complete lack of "ownership" at this company. No one seems to feel like they get out of the company what the put into the company. "Why work harder when they seem to be happy with mediocracy? I'm not going to be compensated for busting my bu-t!"
There is no severance if an offer from COP is given.
Take the voluntary severance from Shell. COP is toxic and a ticking time bo-b.
