Thread regarding Denbury Resources Inc. layoffs

Why is it that mediocrities thrive here?

No offense but I’ve been here for years and wonder how some people have maintained their employment or been promoted. Incompetence all around.

Exactly! It’s not that I think I’m the best worker ever and that there are no better ones than me, however, there’s a lot of mediocrity. I wonder how some of them got a job here at all, and I wonder what it would be like for them in companies that value only work, knowledge and skills.

Quality employees won’t stay around when years of experience and proven production is continuously overlooked to provide promotions for wore out knee pads and donut smiles. Which is the norm anymore. There’s so much going back and forth under the table, I’m surprised there’s room for all the s##t covered lips under there.

If Denbury would pull their heads out of their as##s and make an attempt to keep the quality employees that they had/have there would be a lot less mediocrity. I've seen some stellar employees walk due this companies never ending bs!

I think every company is struggling with quality employees. I think its the new norm. Most places cant even get bodies to employ. They want that handout now.
