Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Layoffs are constantly happening

When will people realize and accept this? No, there might not be huge rounds every week but there are certainly small, surgical cuts being done daily. This is not an employee-friendly place, it never was. If you want job security, you'll have to find another employer. Or just learn to deal with the fact that anybody could be let go at any time.

Most USians all employment at will unless you're C suite. Only "country" in the world that has employment at will doctrine. We're all slaves-modern day duped propagandized imbeciles.
There is and was NEVER any "job security". The US empire can let ya go, for NO reason, ANY reason, at ANY time ANY place. No eat a hot dog and sing yankee doody songs as we watch state run corporate propaganda "news"

Most were /are corporate simps. They are IN LOVE with the company yet the corporation doesn't love them back and will terminate/fire/let them go in a heartbeat to maximize profits. It was the vile American workplace

The one or two here and there lay offs are for the workers they want to get rid of. Deemed bad employees. This way the employees may get a severance pay and the company most likely will avoid a wrongful termination lawsuit. Win win for everyone. If you are always complaining get out. Go somewhere else.
