Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Is it that hard?

How hard is it for the board to replace Stankey and the rest of the top leadership? It's hard to accept that they didn't do it so far, considering his lackluster results (and I'm being kind with that description.) The only thing that comes to mind is that it's much harder to do it than I thought. Which shouldn't be the case, when you think about it.

But that being said, I think Ratty and Stinky have incriminating pictures of all the other BoD members

This is fantasy.

As the other poster mentioned, someone (1.) powerful and (2.) credible needs to field an alternative slate of directors. The boulder will roll down the hill quickly from there

It usually takes a large investor like Vanguard to field an alternative slate of directors for the shareholders to vote on at the annual meeting. If such an alternative slate appeared, I'd give it at least even money that the alternative slate would win.

On the other hand, no one is going to vote for Joey's alternate slate. But if an investor like Vanguard did something, investors would take note.

Don't you understand that Ratty and Stinky are on the BoD of the companies that the T BoD are officers? It is one big club.

But that being said, I think Ratty and Stinky have incriminating pictures of all the other BoD members and they dare not try to claw back their compensation or inhibit their theft.

Plus the largest institutional shareholders, Blackrock and Vanguard, are too busy going after companies like Exxon or Chevron for climate change rather than representing their investors on the mismanagement of T that they could cure by just voting out all the BoD members.
