Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

No Jab or No Job!

So, who thinks that Intel will actually enforce this "mandate"? If so, what percentage of ppl do you think will be let go? How will Intel go about letting these ppl go?

Starting with November, vaccination status will begin playing into Insights, I hear. Points off in the Culture category for being a di-k.

Religious exemptions in AZ, no questions asked, per law.
BTW, it's not the job of the unvaccinated to protect the vaccinated from the virus, that's the vaccines job.

Id--tic question; posted only to bring out extreme views so that people with disagreement fight. Don't fall for this. There is no genuine curiosity or good intention behind the question.

@1per, wouldn't it be nice if all analysis problems could be so cleanly solved?
We'd be out of a job.

1 in 400 americans has died from covid. At the current rate, nearly all of those are unvaccinated. This disease has a cure, and it can be made extinct. Like smallpox. Or like polio. You could argue that the unvacinnated have a right to prolong this pandemic as long as possible by providing a fertile medium for more virulent mutations and by taxing the medical institutions and their personnel to a breaking point. But you would be using too many big words assembled into a confusing arrangment and your target audience would be looking at their phones anyway. Better to wait them out.

I venture to guess that the true intellectual talent is already vaccinated. There is not a great argument against vaccination, except for some immune compromised folks it doesn't work. If you cannot reason enough to tell the anti vaccine rhetoric is complete bu-----t you will be easy to replace. Who knows I guess we are trying to increase diversity, and maybe we will want to keep id--ts and smart people for balance.

Not clear how Intel is going to enforce or what the policy is going to be(Weekly testing for onsite?) Waiting on OSHA... But the $250 bonus is already piercing through the HIPAA requirement by encouraging voluntary disclosure. They have to know it is a hot button issue, never a better time or reason to come up with plan b, any response is going to further divide people and continue the exodus of what few critical thinkers remain.

My humble opinion, that there is no wrong/right for forcing 100% vaccination.
If we could force vaccination everyone, should we also force everyone to stay home?
No vacation, don't even think of summer break, gathering, reunion, wedding celebration, etc
These mass gathering create risk for infection, even you are fully vaccinated
So, means if you are not vaccinated then one should 'go & die'. Then those people involve in mass gathering and activities, should they also being condemn to death sentence?
I think we should be moderate, as long as everyone following the right things to do, avoid causing grieves to others and let's respect peoples liberty.
You don't just ask people to go die, but yourself/majority is not discipline enough to help the situation. A lot of people forget to look into mirror and self reflect.
One last thing, the freedom of movement and lead the normal life actually is something that lead to the multiple outbreak of Covid-19. If majority stays home, avoid crowds and this would be over really soon. But human likes freedom, and this can proven that when economy opens, cases shoot up

I’m just glad this mandate, and people like mr “just die” below are addressing the root of why people aren’t vaccinated. They haven’t been ordered around and hated enough yet.

People seem to honestly believe that. And they call others stupid.

Will an FMEA on getting the shot v not getting the shot drive this home for people? My job would be so much easier if all the FMEA discussions I was in were that clear cut.

And since Intel is so diverse and inclusive, I'm really curious why haven't anyone gone full SJW and asked HR why there's still Tier1 and Tier2 countries. That's not inclusive at all!
Since Trump has left the White house and he can't say bad things about sh-tholes, now every country is beautiful(especially Nigeria/Lebanon/Kenya/Ecuador being tier1 countries)!

If enough people don't get the jab, they won't do anything about it. Maybe show proof of neg. results once in a while or your religious reasons on some sort of document.
