It’s true other places in health insurance can suck but I think the problem with anthem is different. There is too much generational power, almost zero internal innovation, and a very strict grip by leadership on personal development( due to power worries and avoidance of internal competition)…so all three of those things have led to anthem’s decline and needy over reliance on vendors. The other insurance companies have an internal leadership structure that is coherent. Bottom line, Anthem will continue to decline as its culture continues to erode in the minds of its employees. Only a great exodus of anthem employees will force anthem leaders to stop lying to us and actually reform the company.

Non-Profits can be corrupt too. Recall Anthem is BCBS nonprofit
Lack of internal innovation is due to a culture that is unforgiving of mistakes. It lowers individual risk level. Sad but it’s the company culture and dates to before Gail.
@1bge+1cWLOtme Absolutely correct, Gloria should have been gone a decade ago.
Gloria needs to be fired - it’s the only way for this company to be saved.
Just think how money we could make if we knew what we’re were doing- service operations is a complete joke and no connection to the sales team selling this cr-p we need to implement.
Non profit wouldn’t change the way they work. Plenty of NPs have executives who make significant money. Plus, the government would never give up the tax that insurers pay. The only thing worse would be if the govt took over health insurance.
All health insurance companies should be non profit. Human life should not be a commodity on wall street, at least not in a civilized society. The quest for profits and satisfy the shareholders will destroy any shred of humanity in this company.
