Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

How do you deal with the bullying?

I've never seen a company with so much of it. Politics as well. Wondering how you navigate all of it without getting sui-idal.

No one should have to be bullied.

This article just broke today…. This JE guy worked at J.P. Morgan, then at GS then back to J.P. Morgan.

Unfortunately, any bank this size is going to have some real egomaniacs in senior Management. Then it just rolls downhill from there, swirls in some narcissistic regional directors offices then trickles to the sophomoric market directors (cheerleaders) and you realize you’re back in high school and you better pucker up for some - ss kissing.

I got a job there and then quit in under a year. No notice. Just sent an email saying your dysfunctional office of whiners and complainers is not for me.

Then I moved to the mountains.

Bullies? No. Vindictiveness yes. But that is the same at all companies.

In 15 years at the company the only bullying I encountered was over the diversity agenda. Constant pressure by managers to take 12 diversity classes which contain racially divisive content. I submitted a HR complaint against the Executive Director who headed my department and ultimately left the company.

Chase has the most vindicative, bullying, backstabbing and gaslighting managers out there. I know a married manager who try to have not mutually consented s-x with their direct report at least in the break room. He is the type of toxic/bully mgr person who will have a handicap license plate on his truck so he can have the first spot in the parking lot, but brag how fast he can run and finish a marathon which is faster than most.

Bull, i've been here 13 years and never seen any sort of bulling. I've seen some insane stuff at other companies, but this ship is about as straight and narrow as it gets.

Just do your job and be civil. If leadership doesn’t like you then who cares what they think of you.

I dealt with it at other institutions. Develop a thick skin. No other choice except to leave, if it's an option.
