There is no point in worry about it. It will be out of your control. Worry about what you can control.
There are plenty of opportunities out there and most people go on to bigger and better paid roles after Refinitiv/TR. All of those I know (including myself) are certainly more happier than being at Refintiv.
Use this time to get your CV up to date, expand and reach out to your network. It also helps to start building relationships with a handful of trusted/reliable agencies (care - there are many shark agencies out there as well) and update profiles on like of LinkedIN.
This is all basic.know stuff, but all helps, should your time be called at Refinitiv. Many will still be concerned as they are long timer at either Refinitiv, TR, Reuters and been out of the job market for years. Trust me - there is life after this lot.
By the time I was let go, my only worry was that I'd get left behind to do the work of some fortunate soul who was packaged out.
Are we guessing they will be picking people off here and there? No consultation in UK on numbers so probably people disappearing all over the place.
Of course. It's called "Retirement" these days... :-)
Knowing some details would help alleviate some of the stress.
