Has anyone heard anything new about layoffs?

There will always be layoffs, it's on going. This was said in how many Townhall's, do you listen? What's the difference if their is one today, tomorrow or next month, you won't know its you till its too late! If you want to quit then quit already!
In Germany the next wave of WFR is currently ongoing.
There is no money left for WFR! They are smoking out people, bullying staff to leave. And they are hiring school leavers, staffed on projects Free Of Charge, that will resign within the first 6 to 9 months. After all they signed up with the worst employer ever worldwide.
How many more layers can they add, it will be difficult to manage so many layers.
The company will have so many spare managers it could specialise as management consulting, rather that IT outsourcing.
There will be nothing major in this current quarter remaining but with revenue targets under pressure for Q2 its likely that Q3 could see some WFR action but to offset this bad press there will be some Senior Mgmt promotions and possibly some new blood brought in from Accenture to lift the mood of the minions
