Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Influential “Innovator” Executives….

From the Detroit Free Press, which usually prints only Ford PR fluff…where are Bill Ford and Jim Farley on the list?

General Motors CEO Mary Barra and Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk made the 2021 Time 100 annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

The list is not ranked; the two auto execs are listed under “Innovators.”

This is Barra's second time on the list and Musk's fourth since Time started doing the list in 2003, said Emily Alwell, Time spokeswoman.

Billy innovative? He was fired as CEO buy his own family in 2006. He spent $3/4 Bn dollars (that is a capital "B") on that Train Station in a very bad neighborhood just so he can leave a legacy.. If I were a major hedge fund I would dump Ford stock right now. Sorry but that is pure stupidity.

Fact: you cannot park a gm bolt within 50 feet of any other vehicle.

Fact: Mary barra is the current gm ceo/leader.

Spare me your praise of her and complaints about Bill/Jim. Oh, bronco tops are not colorfast, big deal. (in comparison)

Posted by @1ltq+1cRMEwz5. "Just stating fact, mary barra is at the helm of and the king of gm when they are making vehicles that you cannot park within 50 feet of other cars and not in your own garage."

Well, I have to admit - that is very "Innovative".......At least now we know why Mary is on the list.

Apparently, the 2021 Time 100 annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world is "Factually" accurate and a good source of knowledge. I guess I should start reading Time and the Detroit Free Press. NOT!!!!!!!

I don't think there is much left in the USA to be proud of anymore (corporations, media of all types, justice system, politics, government at all levels, education, healthcare, the FBI, and lately even the US military) - Everything is basically a lie, misinformation (to create a false narrative), or outright negligence/possible criminal intent.

Mary being a leader and/or innovative fits the lie part. Time putting her on the list fits the creating a false narrative part.

Just stating fact, mary barra is at the helm of and the king of gm when they are making vehicles that you cannot park within 50 feet of other cars and not in your own garage.

Guess this will make it easy to identify car flipper liars when they tell you a used Bolt is "garage kept". LOL

Billy and Jim Innovative? Are they kidding? If that was the case then think of a way to make products people want vs leaving vehicle segments! If you want to get creative
1) Fix the quality
2) Reduce the buildable combinations. Toyota doe sit and they make more profit than we do.
3) Build products People want to buy. We sort of left that path
4) Improve the morale. Despite the what you read in the pulse surveys people just check a box.
Otherwise Billy and Jim are Legends in their own mind.

That list is pure bull if Barra is on it twice. Shes a fraud and an awful ceo.

Do you really think most gm employees think she is great? They view her the same way we viewed nassar.

Maybe I am missing something. But what innovative ideas did either Bill or Jim generate? They are starting to sound like Al Gore inventing the internet. I am sorry but they lack Karma, confidence, competent, presentation skills. They are boring. Their body language tells you that they do not believe what they pitch. By the way there is no trust after those age discrimination law suits.

Well, duh, Bill and Jim haven't done anything innovative. They shouldn't be on the list!

The list is useless propaganda anyways. Although, Elon Musk could be described as doing innovative things at Tesla (electric car production, space, boring companies, and more), so I will give the Freep that one. Elon probably does deserve that title.

But Marry Berra - she has done nothing innovative in her life! She was handed a company with a great balance sheet (after being bailed out by the US taxpayer - and then going along with the lie of calling it a bankruptcy, which everyone knows it truly wasn't. And for all of you back-seat experts out there saying right now that it was a bankruptcy - then do some blabbing out your you know what how a bankrupt company ends up owning the most expensive real estate in downtown Detroit and probably all of Michigan during a bankruptcy procedure! And the company doesn't have to eliminate any union contracts either! And the list goes on.) So, yeah she is a fantastic liar and thief. She should be a real leader and call the new GM what it is - grand theft of US taxpayer dollars organized behind closed doors with a bunch of low-life politicians.

Maybe the Freep can call her very high positions at GM in purchasing and product development during the GM ignition crisis as "Innovative". She took "Zero" responsibility for her roles in that fiasco and was part of the firing of low-level engineers. Then she got promoted to CEO.

The only reason she is on the list is because she is a woman. If anyone had any integrity or leadership - they would call it what it is and that is 21st century sexism - plain and simple. That is her only true accomplishment in her career!

When did Bill Ford ever innovate anything? What innovation has Jim Farley created during his decade at Ford? (Crickets….)
