This topic is going to bring out lots of opinions but personal feelings aside… please look at this logically. I see lots of posts on this board angry about the company’s vaccine mandate. If you’re angry about that, you should be angry about this. Instead of using employee PAC contributions for telecom political issues that help the company grow, hire employees (in theory)… they’re being used for social political decisions to take personal choice and bodily autonomy away from TX citizens.
Or, if you are against forced birth, STOP donating to the PAC now.
Or, if you’re an average person who doesn’t get too fired up about politics, also STOP donating to the PAC. Why would you hand money out of your paycheck back over to the company to influence political decisions that may or may not be in the best public interest.
If you care enough about these political decisions, donate the money yourself and don’t filter it through the company. You’re letting the company officers we all complain about and distrust make political decisions using YOUR money - whether you agree with this particular donation or not, the power belongs with you.
