I can't understand why layoffs keep happening when attrition is as high as it is. It would make some sense if people were only leaving certain departments and they needed to cull those that are having very few departures, but those don't exist! The attrition is happening throughout the entire company! So why do they keep cutting people when there's no pressing need for it?

The layoffs systematically target top of band, over 55 employees. Notice that they restructure/move people and then they layoff approximately a year later.

If you think laying off thousands of employees during a pandemic is normal, then you must be a Scumbag also. Like I said Tom & the rest of the exces could of passed on bonuses & saved all those jobs. Many good reputable CEOs passed on bonuses so they would not have layoff employees during a pandemic. Maybe you should open your eyes!

Allstate could have avoid all the layoffs if the greedy, drunk CEO Tom Wilson & the rest of the over paid executives did not take a bonus & stock bonuses….. Keep that in mind….
Layoffs usually go after the higher-salaries. Those long-timers probably aren't leaving as often.
