COVID is the only reason most CCC and claims jobs are not already in India. They also have second center that they broke ground on in India that was also paused because of COVID but that build has resumed as well. Once the pandemic finally wanes many jobs will transfer over there with CCC and claims the main focus. Preps are still ongoing for this.
Voice coaching.. 100% true. Search for jobs for Allstate in Pune. They were hiring trainers and building out the strategy months ago.
Is it true there is a department in Pune that strictly works on voice coaching? It is rumored that the voice coaches are teaching the Pune employees to speak without an accent. Much like how Christian Bale is able to drop his British accent to take on certain roles he acts in. With the completion of these voice classes call center jobs in the US will shift to Pune.
Yes, take the advice on not pursuing the opportunity. Honestly best bet is to get ahead of things and just find another role outside the company. If you want to learn new things and develop your skills, why not just do it somewhere else that will value what you bring to the organisation and will provide more security for your future. Big Blue is not that. On any level, and in any department within the organisation.
Pune hates competition. They will do anything to get our work and Allstate Leadership wilk serve those jobs on a silver platter to them. So don't bother.
