Pulse Survey Results

Anyone else here about the results of the engagement survey we took last month? Our Store Manager reviewed them at our morning meeting and she wasn't happy about some of the comments. It was mostly about Covid concerns in our store and not requiring customers to wear masks and we never have anyone cleaning anymore since we have so many unfilled jobs and can't get anyone to work. A lo of talk going around about Union organizing in our store too. What's everyone else hearing?

I'm not part of this anymore but I remember doing the Engagement Survey every year while with Macys Tech. Results were better than the Stores for sure, i'm sure this year will be bad. One year my former Manager got a really bad rating and was criticized heavily by my former Regional, some of it not deserved. Some things you can't control and people can sometimes be too demanding and want everything to be 100% smooth all the time. There are other things that can be controlled, like communication which was my biggest issue. I took pride in communicating whereas many others were mediocre and did not. Union organizing will not help, sorry!!! We're not in the 1960s or 70s. The past several months i've seen a lot of complaining from store Associates from my vendor view.

Silly people. They think a UNION is going to solve their problems? All you have to do is call Compliance Connections and report what's going on. If cleaning isn't happening, you can bet a well placed phone call will solve that. And the mask issue isn't anything you can enforce unless you have a government mandate requiring it. A business requirement isn't enforceable - how many customers had a mask when we required them anyway? You think a union is going to fix THAT? Lol.
